Day of the Military child in your state!

Spotlight a Military Child

Introducing Max!

Introducing Max!

Introducing Max!

It is college football season so we are taking the time to highlight a military child, Max.

Max made his first move as a military child at the age of 7 months.  Military families move a lot.  Max and his family made numerous moves.   Before the age of 8, Max had moved four times.  Each time, a new school, meeting of new friends, and having to adjust to a new environment.

Through all the moves, Max found his passion with sports.  He played hockey, basketball, football and ran track. He was a contributing member of a state championship football team, track relay team and a multi sport record holder. He did all this and maintained a 3.9 GPA.

Although there are more accomplishments we could highlight, the most important is Max is a great, all around military kid.

Max lived the life of a military child and through it all, persevered.

Max is now a freshman at the University of Wisconsin. He was recruited by many colleges but his heart was with the Badgers. He accepted a football scholarship and we are so excited to watch him continue to do great things.

Introducing Erica

We are proud to spotlight Erica.

Erica is part of a military family both as a daughter and sibling.  Service runs deep.

In her high school years, she was a four year varsity swimmer, softball player, active member of the JROTC and most importantly, a student scholar. Not only did she excel in her studies, she was also the varsity swim captain her junior and senior year.  She was the JROTC commander her senior year.

To be a student at Texas A&M University was one of her top goals. Not only did she meet the credentials to be accepted, she was also awarded a ROTC Army Scholarship.

A&M has a long, rewarding and pride filled history in their Corps of Cadets.  To be a part, you have to work hard. Well, Erica has now become part of that history.  She is now officially a FISH in the Texas A&M Corp of Cadets.

Congratulations Erica.  We look forward to hearing about all the great things you will do in your future.

Introducing Joshua

As part of a military family, you grow up learning the core values of what it means to serve your country. Joshua is no exception.

In high school, Joshua was very active in the JROTC.  He was part of the rifle team and was the commander of the unit his senior year.  In addition to this, he was a varsity athlete,  very active in his church and worked earning enough to purchase his first automobile.

Currently a college sophomore, Joshua continues to do great things.  Upon graduation, he will join the 1% of those who serve our country in the Armed Forces.

We look forward to following Joshua and his future accomplishments.
